ADHD Testing

 No, ADHD testing alone does not diagnose ADHD. It provides objective data that a provider uses, along with other tests and evaluations, to determine a diagnosis. ADHD diagnosis requires a thorough assessment over time. 

ADHD diagnosis is not made in a single session. It involves a comprehensive evaluation by a provider, including clinical assessments, self-reports, family or teacher input (for minors), and ADHD testing. This process helps rule out other possible conditions.

 Misdiagnosis can lead to incorrect treatment, which may cause harm. Our priority is your health and safety. A proper evaluation ensures that ADHD symptoms are not caused by another condition. 

 A computerized test is an FDA-cleared tool that objectively measures hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention. It provides data to assist providers in their clinical evaluation. We offer testing both in-office and remotely. 

Most insurance plans cover ADHD testing, but not all. Typically, insurance requires authorization for testing. In order to have the testing authorized, most insurance carriers want to see a broader evaluation, including clinical assessments and other forms of screening. Yes! If you want ADHD testing without insurance coverage, we offer self-pay options. You can pay for test administration, interpretation, and review at a flat rate. Contact us for pricing details.  

ADHD testing is typically recommended if a provider has asked you to complete the test as part of their evaluation. If you are curious about ADHD and want objective data, you are welcome to self-pay for testing.
